Leslie Beard The Experience To Deliver

I work with highly-visible government, corporate and non-profit leaders to create
and keep great reputations. When the situation turns tough, and your organization’s
bottom line is threatened, I’m here to help.

Being accountable for communication groups that serve national and international markets isn’t for the faint of heart.
Major organizational changes, chemical spills that affected a community’s drinking water and public consultations
for a $1-billion industrial expansion are just a few of the complex situations I’ve worked on.

I also managed communications for Canada’s largest regional health system. Then, and still today,
health care ranks as the number one issue in the minds of Canadians.

Since LBcommunications was first formed in 2005, I’ve worked with clients from government (provincial and municipal),
oil and gas, non-profit and education.

Does Your Reputation Say What You Want?

A great reputation speaks on your behalf when you're not in the room. It's always one step ahead of letting your customers and others know who you are and what you believe in.

We prepare you for those pivotal moments in the life of every organization when conversations that mean something to you, your customers, employees or other interested groups, are ready to happen. They aren’t always the most comfortable situations, but handled well, they will push your reputation to the next level. The outcome is you will build a base of stakeholders who are ready to support and carry your messages forward.

    We help leaders find:

    • Solutions that protect reputations and connect you with people and groups you need on side.
    • The tools and knowledge to help you develop your authentic voice and the messages that are true to your values and beliefs.
    • The communication strategies and tactics to take on major change

When change happens – either planned or unexpected – it all comes down to trust. We help senior leaders and teams set that baseline of trust and build their trust account in preparation for the major changes and problems that are a reality in any organization.

Whether you’re a person or an organization, your success depends on a strong reputation. Sure, reputations can be puffed up and occasionally built on nothing more than some well-placed words in the right ear. But they don’t last. It takes time to build a strong reputation and the truly outstanding ones often grow out of the most challenging circumstances. National and international experience has shown me that when your back is against the wall, and your reputation under threat, you have an opportunity.

Your gut is saying you need to take action, but you just can’t figure out what’s bugging you…you just know the “same old” isn’t an option for your company, department or employees any longer. We can help you ask the tough questions and find the answers.

There are lots of amazing books out there about leadership.

The books that resonate for me are the ones that remind us how the right word or question can open up the conversation, resolve conflict and help find solutions. I am also fascinated with stories about organizations that have built great brands . So often it is the little things, done over and over again, that create success.
